- For 3 toasts (1 serving):
- 1. 3 slices of thick bread (ideally brioche, challah, or day-old sandwich bread), can be white or whole wheat.
- 2. 1 large egg
- 3. 1/2 cup of milk (whole, semi-skimmed, or plant-based)
- 4. 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional, or to taste)
- 5. 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 6. 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 7. Butter (approximately 1-2 tablespoons) for the pan
- 8. For serving: maple syrup, honey, fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, banana), powdered sugar, whipped cream.

- In a bowl, add an egg, the milk (I used coconut, but you can use cow's, almond, or your preference).
- The original recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of sugar, but I feel it's too much, so I usually only add one tablespoon... when I want it to be healthier, I don't add any sugar, and they are just as delicious because in the end, we sweeten with a little honey.
- Add half a tablespoon of vanilla extract, and a good amount of cinnamon, but the amount is to your taste. Finally, mix everything well.
- Now, on medium heat, put a non-stick pan, grease with a little butter... take the bread slices, soak them well in the mixture, and put them in the pan until golden on both sides, and do the same with the rest.
- When they are ready, plate with the fruit of our preference... I like to add strawberries and blueberries... decorate with a little honey, powdered sugar, and that's it, just serve and enjoy!.

- Do not saturate the bread with too much egg mixture.
